Lime Essential Oil
Description
Country of Origin: Italy; Botanical Name: Citrus aurantifolia; Extraction Method: Cold Pressed
Lime Essential Oil has a crisp, sweet, fresh smell that will brighten your mood and lift your spirits. The properties of Lime essential oil include antiseptic, antiviral, astringent, aperitif, bactericidal, disinfectant, and restorative benefits. Lime oil can be used for its cleansing properties and its rich vitamin C content makes it an ideal immune system booster, helping protect you from colds and flu.
For colds, coughs, sinusitis, sore throat, and chest congestion, add a few drops to a bowl of steaming water and inhale it. You can also mix a few drops with a carrier oil, then rub it onto your neck and chest. For acne and other skin problems, mix two drops of lime oil with 15 drops of fractionated coconut or jojoba oil then apply to your skin. This helps wash out impurities while promoting the growth of new skin cells. It can even repel insects, such as mosquitoes and ants simply by diffusing it in your home.
Lime Essential Oil is considered photo toxic. Users should avoid direct sunlight after application. Avoid use during pregnancy.
