CBD - Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, Isolate

Oct 28th 2019

Understanding the difference between the three major types of CBD products is important to making an educated decision on which CBD oil product best suits your needs. We have introduced Broad Spectrum to our CBD line as we believe it to be a great option for those who need the benefit of what CBD has to offer but are cautious about using a product with THC, especially for their pets.

Full Spectrum CBD contains everything the cannabis plant contains – CBD, CBG, CBN as well as flavonoids, the natural fatty acids found in hemp, terpenes and trace amounts of THC. All these elements have their own important therapeutic value and create an “entourage effect” when combined. This is the effect of cannabinoids and terpenes working together in perfect synergy.

Broad Spectrum CBD is basically Full Spectrum CBD without any THC. It offers the entourage benefits associated with Full Spectrum CBD, without any trace THC being introduced into the body. Broad Spectrum CBD is an excellent choice for individuals who do not want any THC in their system, whether for legal purposes, no risk of a positive drug test, or just because.

Isolate CBD, while free from THC, does not have all the cannabinoids that the Broad Spectrum has. Based on the available research about the extra benefits of Broad Spectrum over Isolate for our fur friends, we are now offering our Doggie Drops & Kitties Too in Broad Spectrum CBD, THC free. Numerous studies have shown that unlike humans, animals can have adverse reactions to THC and it is not recommended for them. We are offering Doggie Drops Broad Spectrum in three new sizes to better accommodate larger breeds.

While there continues to be much debate on which type is best, we believe in offering our customers the choice and that both Full and Broad Spectrum offer therapeutic benefits. There are many who believe that Full Spectrum with other cannabinoids, including THC, are necessary to take full advantage of what CBD has to offer. However, everyone is different and the choice comes down to the individual user and their needs. If THC in your system is a concern, we encourage you to use our Broad Spectrum CBD products instead of Full Spectrum, especially for your pets.
