Lavender essential oil induces sleep and is thus used as an alternative way to relieve insomnia. Frequent studies on elderly patients have shown an increase in sleep regularity when their normal sleep medication is replaced with some lavender essential oil being placed on their pillows. It is an excellent tonic for those with anxiety and stress.
Many types of bugs like mosquitoes, midges, and moths hate the smell of lavender. Mix with your favorite carrier oil and apply to exposed skin to discourage these pests. If you do happen to be bitten, lavender essential oil has anti-inflammatory qualities that will reduce the irritation and the pain that accompanies bug bites.
We offer this Super lavender in a roll-on bottle and use MCT (fractionated coconut oil) as the carrier oil.
