We are committed to providing the highest quality all-natural products at an affordable price for our clients and we are fortunate to live and work in the biologically diverse Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia. The people who live in these mountains, from the early Native Americans to the Europeans who came later, have relied on the healing powers of the plants that grow in such rich profusion here. Southern Appalachia has an extraordinary abundance of medicinal plants many of which are the basis for modern pharmaceuticals . Anne and Sherry are often out foraging for these plants to store and use for medicinal purposes.
Anne was drawn into the Natural Food and Products industry at an early age and has remained in this field for 50 years. For the last ten years, essential oils and aromatherapy have been her primary focus creating all natural, high quality products for health conscious consumers. Born and raised in Atlanta, Anne chose to fulfill her dream of living in the country and she and her family now live surrounded by the National Forest and Cohutta Wilderness. When not developing new essential oil blends, Anne can be found gardening, hiking, foraging, and learning to develop a more sustainable and self sufficient lifestyle.
Like Anne, Sherry left the big city and chose to move to the country where she and her family live on a lake in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. While she tends more to the operations, financial, and customer relations aspects of our busines, she enjoys crafting our soaps and personal care products. In between all that, she enjoys gardening, traveling, hiking with her dogs, and foraging in the forests with Anne.
An old hound named Chester was the impetus for the development of Calm My Dog essential oil blend. Chester had always been fearful of thunderstorms; however, as he aged, his reaction and fear increased. He cried, he paced, he drooled, and tried to dig holes in the floor. Nothing seemed to help and it was heartbreaking to watch. Anne created an essential oil blend she dubbed "Chester's Oil" and Chester's symptoms decreased dramatically. Samples were given to family and friends with amazing results. A new venture sprang forth from what began as a desperate attempt to calm a beloved old dog.
The two compadres are back in the saddle again heading down the road on a new adventure. Just like old times; but, this time, with more freedom, more wisdom, and definitely, a lighter load providing great products with great service.
